wireshark is probably already installed! it’s part of the basic package. the first command installs the gui and cli version of wireshark, and the second adds permissions to use wireshark.
you can write capture filters right here. from this window, you have a small text box that we have highlighted in red in the following image. this will open the panel where you can select the interface to do the capture on. To apply a capture filter in wireshark, click the gear icon to launch a capture.
